A 12-year-old student from Connecticut, USA, Eniola Shokunbi, has proved that age is never a limit when it comes to making a difference. Eniola created a simple air filter using cardboard, a fan, and furnace filters after noticing that her classroom air felt dusty and unhealthy. Her low-cost design can remove 99% of harmful particles from the air — and it inspired the government of Connecticut to approve $11.5 million to bring these filters into schools across the state.
A Spark That Started in a Classroom
Eniola’s journey began when she asked a simple question — “Why is our air not clean?”
Instead of waiting for adults to fix it, she researched, experimented, and built a working model with her classmates.
Her project not only improved classroom air quality but also became a powerful example of how students can turn small ideas into big solutions.

What This Means for Our Students
You need to believe, that every student can create change — starting from what they see around them. Innovation doesn’t need big money or big machines. It needs observation, curiosity, and courage.
If Eniola can make an invention that helps her entire state, our students too can start small — by solving a problem in their home, school, or community. A cleaner environment, better recycling habits, or a creative science model — it all begins with a thought.

A Message for Parents
Parents play the biggest role in every child’s success.
When you give your child the freedom to ask, explore, and experiment — you give them a chance to discover their own talent.
Support their questions. Encourage their ideas. Believe in their small steps.
Because one day, that small step might change lives — just like Eniola’s did.

What You Can Do Next
Across Maharashtra and India, Success Education Society and many such dedicated educational institutions are shaping young minds with purpose and care. They truly believe in their students — giving them meaningful projects, real-life learning experiences, and the confidence to dream bigger. Let us appreciate these institutions, respect their efforts, and stay connected with them — because they are the ones helping students not just study, but change their lives.
Let’s build a generation that studies not only to score marks, but to make a mark in the world.
