नवी मुंबईत मद्यधुंद अवस्थेत वाहन चालविण्याचा धक्कादायक प्रकार समोर आला असून, या घटनेमुळे शहरात खळबळ उडाली आहे. करावे गाव परिसरात भरधाव वेगात असलेल्या इनोव्हा कारने रस्त्यावर उभी तसेच सुरू असलेली अनेक वाहने जोरदारपणे धडक दिली. सुदैवाने या अपघातात कोणतीही जीवितहानी झाली नसली, तरी अनेक वाहनांचे मोठ्या प्रमाणात नुकसान झाले आहे. विशेष म्हणजे अपघात करणाऱ्या कारवर ‘पोलीस’ अशी नेमप्लेट असून, वाहनातून वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षकाचे ओळखपत्र सापडल्याने प्रकरण अधिकच गंभीर बनलं आहे.
At the time of the incident, the road was crowded with traffic. Suddenly, a speeding Innova car rammed into multiple vehicles one after another, creating panic in the area. The impact of the accident was so severe that local residents rushed to the spot after hearing the loud crash. According to eyewitnesses, it was clearly evident that the car driver was under the influence of alcohol. Due to drunk driving, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident.
After the accident, when the Innova car was inspected, it was found to be bearing a nameplate reading “Police.” This discovery caused confusion and anger among citizens. Further investigation revealed that an identity card belonging to senior police inspector Arun Baban Pokharkar of the Mumbai Police was found inside the car. Following this revelation, serious questions have been raised, with people asking, “Are the protectors of the law themselves breaking the law?” The case has since taken a dramatic turn.
Police Nameplate Raises Questions
Ordinary citizens face immediate action for violating traffic rules. However, the involvement of a vehicle carrying a police nameplate has triggered strong public reactions.
